L.C. Parks Bamboo Fly Rods - Customer Feedback

Hi Lew,
I just wanted to let you know that the rod you made for me performs excellent!
I just took it out for a brief cast at the back yard.
I love the 3 piece configuration for easy traveling.

Thanks again!
A little picture of the rod with a nice grayling. Feel free to use it on your site.

Hello !
I purchased your bamboo flyrod through my friend jytari, for me in march 2005.It was 7´4wt rod and was sent to Finland.

I fished with it again last wednesday and here´s a few picture from last year and this year.

Lew,
Not a great picture but I wanted you to see my first fish on the new rod. A nice healthy 12” rainbow caught on a size 22 high-vis parachute BWO while fishing the South Platte this morning. I used a Cortland Classic 444 peach DT-5-F. It didn’t take long to get the feel of the rod. I caught a total of 5, one Brown and four Rainbows. Thanks again Lew.
Warm regards, Jim

Lew,
Sorry for the delay. Here’s my endorsement and a couple more pictures including one that shows your signature on the rod better.

Immediately after receiving my new 7 ˝ foot, 4 weight Lew Parks rod I was able to spend a picture-perfect fall weekend fishing it on the South Platte here in the Colorado Front Range. This beautiful “Gold Medal” tail water receives a considerable amount of fishing pressure and is well known for its very selective trout. Over two days I was fortunate enough to catch and release 15 healthy trout; including Rainbows, Browns and a few Cutthroats, all between about 11 and 15 inches. Using a nice Cortland DT floating fly line and a long tapered leader I was able to gently place size 20 - 24 Blue Winged Olive or Trico parachute dry flies with pinpoint accuracy. I’ve only been fly fishing for two years now but the fine taper of this rod casted very naturally and seemed like an extension of myself. I was also happy to find that the rod had plenty of “backbone” which allowed me to play and land even the larger fish quickly and easily. Not once did I break off a fish while setting even though I was using a 6x tippet. This was by far my most enjoyable weekend of fly fishing this season and the exquisite craftsmanship and beauty of your fine rod further added to my enjoyment. I’d like to order another rod of a different length and weight to add to my small collection. Thank you again for offering such a fine fishing tool at an affordable price, allowing me to experience the joy of fishing a fine handcrafted bamboo rod.

Warm regards,
Jim in Colorado Springs
